Mar 10: Our manuscript under review on the role of N-MYC in inv(16) leukemogenesis has been posted at bioRxiv.

Feb 16: A co-authored paper with Dr. Daniel G Tenen (Harvard Medical School) is published in Blood on the role of ADAR2 RNA editing in AML leukemogenesis. Congratulations!

2022

Dec 12: John presented our work on the role of the N-MYC/ eIF4G1 axis in inv(16) leukemogenesis at the American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting at New Orleans.

 

May 25: John presented our work on the role of the N-MYC/ eIF4G1 axis in inv(16) leukemogenesis at the International Workshop on myeloid stem cells and leukemia at Cincinnati.

2021

June 23: Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center, in association with the American Cancer Society, awarded an Institutional Research Grant to Pulikkan Lab!


May 19: A co-authored paper with Dr. Philipp Staber (University of Vienna) is published in Blood on the role of PU.1 antisense promoter in core binding factor leukemia. Congratulations!
 
May 13: First Lab Publication! Review manuscript in Blood on 
emerging therapies for inv(16) AML. Congratulations!
 
March 31: Congratulations to Sid Rao lab for their publication in Scientific Reports on 
DOT1L inhibitors block abnormal self-renewal induced by cohesin loss.

2020
February 10: Sridevi Surapally joined the lab as a postdoctoral fellow.

2019

July 12: Big congrats to Dr. Richard Aster from our institute on receiving the Wallace H. Coulter Award for Lifetime Achievement in Hematology 
from the American Society of Hematology (ASH).

January 23: Congratulations to Roy Silverstein from our institute on being elected as President of the American Society of Hematology (ASH).

2018

December 17: Philomina Sona joined the lab as a Research Technologist.

December 13: John presented his work at Department of Cell Biology, Neurobiology and Anatomy (CBNA) at Medical College of Wisconsin. The title of the presentation is “Hematopoietic Gene Regulation:   From Transcription Factors to Chromatin Dynamics.

November 18: Pulikkan lab is awarded a $1 million financial support from the Stollenwerk Family Foundation. We are thrilled and honored to receive this support!

October 30: An editorial by Constanze Bonifer and colleagues published in Stem Cell Investigation about John’s recent manuscript published in Cell.           

October 14: John presented his work at Alex Lemonade Stand Foundation Young Investigator meeting at Milwaukee. The title of the presentation is “From Basic Science to Drug Discovery: Development of CBFβ-SMMHC Inhibitor in the Treatment of inv(16) Leukemia”.

October 8: Pulikkan Lab started at Versiti Blood Research Institute, Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
